Beijing, July 11 (Youth.cn) - 100-megawatt photovoltaic power generation project that complement with fishing industry was installed in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. In a summer day, the installation was enveloped by sunset glow. According to data provided by State Grid Corporation of China, the cumulative on-grid electricity of the photovoltaic project has broken the 100 million KWH barrier. The clean electricity has conveyed to several islands and has been totally consumed, which equals to a 80 000 tons of reduction of CO2. Being constructed for 3 phases, the overall installed capacity will reach 800 to 850 megawatts, and the annual electricity generation can reach 1 billion KWH. The largest photovoltaic power generation project in Zhoushan can provide enough electricity for 830 000 households annually, and helps reducing 750 000 tons of CO2. The first phase of the 100 MW project has been connected to the grid in June 2023, and the second phase of the project is accelerating and hopefully will put into operation by the end of the year.
