Beijing, July 1 (Youth.cn) - Photo taken on June 30th in Zhangye National Wetland Park, in Gansu Province. Clean river and green trees unfold an ecological landscape. In a fresh summer day, rain cleaned the sky and the lake in the wetland park, grasses and trees are lush and green. Migrant birds flied over fragrant flowers, left their beautiful songs. They played in reeds marsh, in willow grove and over the lotus pond, adding vitality to the landscape. Tourists and citizens enjoyed their leisure time in the nature and took photos there.
Zhangye National Wetland Park is located in the northern suburb of Zhangye urban area. It is a complex of marsh wetland, lake wetland, river wetland and constructed wetland. It covers an area of 26,000 mu and has important ecological functions such as water conservation, water resource regulation and storage, water purification, wetland biodiversity maintenance, desertification prevention and climate improvement.
