Beijing, March 7 (Youth.cn) - Photo taken on March 6th, in Lianyungang city, Jiangsu province. Workers were busy building a photovoltaic power generation project on a fishpond. With 940MW installed capacity and 5.43 billion yuan investment, the new project benefits fully from the water area of the fishpond, by combining the photovoltaic power generation project with fishery farming. The project builds a compound industry with the characteristic of “generating power on the surface of the water while keeping fishes in the water”. It largely enhances the economic, agrarian and ecological value of the land and forges a new model of the green energy development. The project is expected to achieve full capacity grid-connected power generation by the end of September 2024. After completing, the project will be the largest scale fishing-power generating new energy project in Jiangsu province. Photo/VCG
