Beijing, August 23 (Youth.cn) - On August 22nd, 2023, in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, tourists were seen picking lotus pods in a pond within the Putuo countryside complex.  

In recent years, leveraging the advantage of its pleasant island climate, the city has vigorously developed rural tourism. By utilizing farmland, they have cultivated ornamental, pickable, and edible lotus flowers. They have also explored the "agriculture plus tourism" model, creating a new channel for local villagers to increase income and prosperity.
