Photo List Duku Highway in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang reopened to traffic

Beijing, June 19 (Youth.cn) - On June 18th, 2023, in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the opening ceremony of the Duku Highway took place. The first batch of vehicles set off from Dushanzi.

Spanning a total length of 561 kilometers, the Duku Highway showcases a variety of landscapes including canyons, glaciers, lakes, grasslands, forests, and deserts. More than 280 kilometers of the road are situated at an altitude of over 2000 meters. Due to natural factors such as snowfall and ice formation in mountainous areas, the Duku Highway is only open for a little over five months each year. During the peak tourist season, there is a significant increase in the number of visitors who eagerly traverse this scenic highway.
