Armed police who will escort Chinese national flag in the Sept. 3 military parade are running through a countdown rehearsal.The military parade will be held in Beijing on Sept. 3 to mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. 　　Wang Binqian, the captain of the flag guards, said:“ Flag-raising ceremony is the opening of the V-day commemoration which will gain full attention of the world.” He explained that this 200-soldier team will be the first one to appear on the parade. Marching from the Monument to the People's Heroes, walking through the axile wire of the Tian’anmen Square, they will guard the national flag to the flag-raising platform accompanied with the fire of solute.
　　The guards team will stand in the core area, and walk through the axile wire of the Tian’anmen Square. The prominent position means that the guards has more sensitive influence, more important tasks and more severe challenges although they are not the parade team. Wang Binqian said:” The parade square team will march through the smooth Changan Avenue with guns or not. However, the guards team is the only one that will walk down 23 staircases from the Monument in parade steps while holding 3.8 kg guns. It is a demanding and difficult task because of the complicated area, various formation and no music rhythm. What’s more, the team needs to cooperate precisely with the solute. They are supposed to start with the solute and arrive at the preset position at the time when 70 solutes stop.
　　It is said that the flag guards will sett off from the north side of the Monumental in memory of the countless heroes sacrificed in the war. The flag guards will march to the north on the axile wire in 121 parade steps to mark the 121 years of extraordinary history of Chinese people to resist against aggression from the Sino-Japanese War in 1894. And the Chinese people will confidently step into the future through courageous efforts.
