On October 27, Rokid launched two AI glasses with displays—Rokid Glasses 2 and Rokid Color—as well as the Rokid Ring at a new product launch, priced starting at RMB 3,699, RMB 4,999, and RMB 1,699, respectively. On the same day, RayNeo announced its fourth-generation dual-eye full-color AI glasses, RayNeo iO+, disclosing only their appearance and full-color MicroLED waveguide approach, with specifications and pricing yet to be revealed. The smart glasses sector is still regarded as a blue ocean, with many in the industry framing it as “growing the pie first” and saying that “this does not really count as competition yet.” Rokid founder and CEO Zhu Mingming (Misa Zhu) expects that true competition will emerge only after the market expands and a single brand's shipments reach the tens-of-millions level.
