National Land Day of China
June 25 marks the 35th National Land Day of China.
Despite relatively constrained climatic and arable land resources, China has achieved a per capita grain availability of 500 kilograms with only 1.36 mu (0.09 hectares) of arable land per capita.
In recent years, regions across China have actively explored effective approaches to land conservation—ranging from stringent farmland protection systems to innovative measures promoting economical and intensive land use.
