The widely popular Irish dance production Riverdance will tour 13 Chinese cities - including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou - for two months beginning in early December.
Riverdance will stage the 15th Anniversary Platinum Edition, a farewell show. Brendan Dorris and Siobhan Manson, honored as "the king and the queen of dance" lead the show's strong cast of dancers.
Manson performed at the CCTV Spring Festival gala earlier this year. Their performance blends Irish traditional tap dance with modern musical elements, enchanting the audiences with orderly and dynamic rhythm. A little Chinese folk music will be put in to cheer local audiences.
Since its debut 15 years ago, Riverdance has been performed in more than 250 theatres in over 30 countries on four continents.
The production will tour China with a whole set of lighting, sound equipment and special flooring made for the show.
