BEIJING, Aug. 21 -- China's first national museum of postal artifacts is expected to open in Beijing on Wednesday August 22nd, according to its owner China Postal Group (CPG).
The China Museum of Postal Services and Stamps will house almost 10,000 exhibit items in a four-story exhibition hall with a floor space of 7,500 square meters, and a warehouse with a floor space of 6,000 square meters.
The country's postal services can be traced back to 400 B.C., when post houses were set up nationwide by imperial governments to deliver letters and documents, mostly for military and diplomatic purposes.
