The 2008 international kite-flying festival began in Yinchuan, capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China on April 12, 2008.
The two-day event attracted hundreds of participants from 19 countries and regions.
With a history of 2,300 years, Chinese kite art has developed into a popular sport event, contested in terms of kite's shape, color and flying techniques. |
