Analyst sees iPad as beginning of big changes in personal computing
Apple plans to release a software update to address WiFi connectivity issues on the iPad that some users are experiencing, media reported Wednesday.
Reports of Wi-Fi connection issues first appeared following the release of the Wi-Fi-only model iPad in early April. One of the most reported problems was weak or fluctuating signal strength, which resulted in slow downloads.
According to Apple, "a very small number of iPad users" are experiencing problems with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Apple is already providing workarounds for certain WiFi ills, but these don't solve larger complaints.
In a support article detailing some of these basic workarounds, Apple said it will address "remaining WiFi connectivity issues" with a "future" update.
There is no date given for when this update would arrive.
