Three famous Chinese directors are now set to take up cameo roles in director Gu Changwei's AIDS-themed drama, "Till Death Do Us Part" ("Zui Ai").
"Let the Bullets Fly" director Jiang Wen plays a train driver; "Aftershock" director Feng Xiaogang portrays a rural traffic control cop, while "City of Life and Death" director Lu Chuan takes on the role of a villager.
The film explores how AIDS impacts a rural Chinese village.
It revolves around two HIV sufferers, played by Aaron Kwok and Zhang Ziyi, who find love and hope despite their misfortune.
The film features a strong line-up of supporting actors, including Pu Cunxin, Gu's actress wife Jiang Wenli, singer-actor Cai Guoqing and rising star Wang Baoqiang.
"Till Death Do Us Part" is due to hit cinemas on May 10.
