The all-star blockbuster 'Jian Guo Da Ye' (The Great Cause of China's Foundation) continues rallying more top actors from the mainland and Hong Kong to its shooting site.
Actress Zhang Ziyi made her presence felt on June 2 together with many other famous Chinese actresses including 'Love in a Fallen City' star Chen Shu, rising star Shen Aojun from TV series 'Lurk' and veteran actress Miao Pu.
Without the voluptuous look she usually sports, Zhang fit the setting with an understated loose-fitting Khaki trouser suit, common dress for women in that period.
They were shooting an episode where women representatives met with Chairman Mao (Tang Guoqiang) and Madame Soong Ching-ling (Xu Qing) and joined in discussions on the design of the national flag.
Actor Leung Ka-fai and famous cross-talk artist Guo Degang also made guest appearances that day.
Featuring a tremendous cast, the tribute film is slated for public screening in September.
