Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad criticized West over human rights, the official IRNA news agency reported on July 13.
Ahmadinejad criticized "West's contradictory stands regarding the issue of human rights," the report said.
The West has kept silence regarding the murder of a Muslim woman in Germany while they show furious reaction towards the pre-planned unrest created by certain groups in Iran, Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.
"The sad event indicated corruption of the country's (Germany's)judicial system," he made the remarks referring to the recent killing of a young Egyptian woman during a court hearing in Germany.
He urged the United Nations Security Council to condemn the German government and its judicial system for ignoring the basic rights of the people.
Marwa el-Sherbini, the Egyptian woman, was stabbed by a man during an appeal hearing in Dresden court on July 1 whom she was suing after he insulted her for wearing the Islamic headscarf.
International human rights organization, Human Rights First, said Monday that they were deeply concerned at the stabbing of Marwa el-Sherbini.
"We hope that the investigation into this shameful crime will shed light on the particularly distressing circumstances that surround this case. In a tragic twist of fate, the attack occurred in a court room, a place that should bring justice to victims of racism -- and not set the stage for new racist hate crimes to be committed", said Tad Stahnke, Director of Policy and Programs of Human Rights First.
