South Korean and Spanish foreign ministers on Monday agreed to expand judicial cooperation in criminal cases, South Korean official said.
"Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Yu Myung-hwan had talks with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos and discussed various bilateral and global issues, including ways to promote substantial cooperation on the economy and trade, expand exchanges of officials' visits, boost cooperation in the development of alternative energy, and joint businesses in Latin America," South Korean Foreign Ministry Spokesman Moon Tae-young told a press briefing here.
The two ministers signed agreements on judicial cooperation in criminal cases and the protection of shared military information after holding talks in Seoul, Moon said.
Moratinos arrived here earlier Monday for a two-day visit. He was also set to meet with South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo and top presidential advisor on foreign affairs, Kim Sung-hwan. |
