MOSCOW, July 11 -- The Sino-Russian finance ministers' dialogue mechanism will help the enlargement of economic cooperation between the two countries, the ministers said in a statement Wednesday July 11th.

Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing and his Russian counterpart Alexei Kudrin discussed each country's economic development strategy, micro-economy and policy, financial reform, taxation policy and cooperation on the world arena at their meetings.

Russia hopes the dialogue between finance ministers of Russia and China would promote the economic and trade relations between the two countries, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said.

A visit to Moscow by the Chinese finance minister and his successful talks with Russian colleagues "prove the dynamic development of Russian-Chinese relations," Fradkov said in his meeting with visiting Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing.

The finance ministers' dialogue, set up as early as Russian President Vladimir Putin visited China in March, 2006, deepens financial cooperation and promotes the dynamic development of Russian-Chinese relations. Jin is hopeful that the dialogue between the finance ministries of the two countries within the framework of Year of China in Russia would promote mutual understanding between Russia and China.

China will host the third Finance Ministers' Dialogue Conference in Beijing next year, the statement said.
