2009 - An Anniversary Year and a Year of Celebration

October 1, 2009 marks the 60th anniversary of modern China. It is also the 17th year to the establish-ment of diplomatic relations between China and Israel.

China has made tremendous progress in all felds over the past 60 years. In the last 17 years, our bilat-eral cooperation has enjoyed rapid growth  in  the areas of economics and  trade, science and  technol-ogy, education and culture. Relations between our countries are frmly anchored.

This year, in celebrating together, we will be showing a cultural and economic panorama, including the fantastic performing artists of the China Disabled Troupe, the Beijing Modern Dance Company, the flm week, photographic exhibitions and lectures. These highlight aspects of China's development over the past 60 years and provide a pictorial overview of our bilateral ties. A Symposium on "China, Israel and the World Economy" will be hosted by Tel Aviv University.

  Join us.  Experience China!
