【Tech 24H】The world's first green electricity and green hydrogen fluidized bed hydrogen metallurgy pilot line, constructed by Ansteel Group, recently achieved full process integration and stably produced green, near-zero carbon direct reduced iron with a metallization rate of 95%. This milestone marks a leap from laboratory research to pilot-scale application. The project sources green electricity from wind turbines and employs advanced alkaline water electrolysis technology to produce green hydrogen, addressing issues such as high energy consumption in traditional electrolysis and insufficient stability of highly active materials. The process achieves near-zero carbon emissions per ton of DRI produced. The resulting DRI features low impurity content, making it suitable for high-end applications such as steel for new energy vehicle motors.
