YEREVAN, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and dozens were injured in an explosion in Armenia's capital Yerevan on Sunday, according to the country's emergencies ministry.
The state-run news agency Armenpress said at least 51 people had been sent to hospital after a fire broke out and a blast occurred at the Surmalu shopping center.
Fire and search operations are underway at the explosion site. The cause of the incident is still under investigation. ■
