Filmmaker James Cameron has announced plans to shoot a 3-D documentary film on the Chinese capital.
The director of "Titanic" and "Avatar" was in Beijing on Wednesday to put forward the project, which will focus on Beijing's centuries-old history.
"Beijing: The Imperial Capital" will be the first film of CPG China, a joint venture between the Cameron Pace Group (CPG) and Chinese companies.
Cameron Pace Group, a collaboration from James Cameron and Vince Pace, is a leader in 3-D technology.
The forming of CPG China was announced one day earlier in the nearby city of Tianjin.
Cameron says CPG China will work to bring cutting-edge 3-D technologies and production services to China's booming film industry.
