Before every Olympics, people always asked, “What members will this dream have?” “Will that dream team have a serious opponent?” Dream teams of Olympics are like dreams. They are invincible and most powerful teams in various team events. They are also “trump card” teams of national delegations of different countries.
Whether in the aspect of the lineup or people's expectation, the U.S. male basketball team is no doubt the most eye-catching dream team. From the Barcelona Olympics of 1992 to the Beijing Olympics of 2008, the U.S. male basketball team won all Olympic gold medals expect for only one. It is absolutely the king of basketball. In many people's opinions, the U.S. male basketball team will win the gold medal of the London Olympics without any question, and what they are interested in is only the score. Like previous dream teams, this U.S. male basketball dream team has a “luxurious” lineup, of which, all the 12 players are all NBA super stars. They are determined to win. However, the Spanish male basketball team, which has many NBA stars too, will definitely give some troubles to the U.S. team. The Argentine male basketball team, which won the gold medal of the Athens Olympics of 2004, should not be underestimated either. It will not be that easy for the U.S. dream team to successfully defend its title.
