Experts on Thursday discussed a number of environmental issues facing the Asia-Pacific region during the sixth annual International Ecological Forum.

The two-day forum, attended by 300 leading experts and government officials, was to consider such cross-border issues as regional natural resources management, conservation of bio-diversity and ocean pollution.

A group of Chinese and Russian experts, tasked with carrying out a plan for the reproduction and protection of Amur tigers, was scheduled to meet for the first time during the forum here.

Neighboring countries should boost their cooperation and coordination in regional natural resources management as pollution can easily be transferred due to interconnected geographic conditions, the forum organizers said.
