A bookstore decorated with 40,000 firewood sticks is located in Jiaojiehe village, Huairou district on the outskirts of Beijing and covers 170 square meters.
The Liyuan Bookstore was designed by Professor Li Xiaodong, from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University.
The main framework of bookstore is made of steel bars and the outside wall and its roof is reinforced glass.
Decorated with 40,000 firewood sticks outside, the bookstore features 10,000 books ranging from literature to history.
Many seats inside allow visitors to sit and read.
