Portugal qualified for Euro 2012 with a 6-2 victory on aggregate by demolishing 10-man Bosnia-Herzegovina 6-2 in their play-off second leg match in Lisbon on Tuesday.
Two goals apiece from Cristiano Ronaldo and Helder Postiga rendered Portugal, the Euro 2004 finalists, to victory against a side they had also eliminated at the same stage in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup finals.
The Portuguese had missed out on automatic qualification after losing to Denmark in their final group qualifier for the finals which are being co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
