Aries Merritt from the United States stunned Chinese ace hurdler Liu Xiang to win the men's 60m hurdles in Istanbul on Sunday at the IAAF world indoor championships, clocking 7.44 seconds.
Liu Xiang took the second in 7.49 seconds.
