TAIYUAN, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Two men received prison sentences from a Chinese court on Thursday in a robbery case that inadvertently revealed the hidden wealth of a state firm boss and led to a graft probe.

The Intermediate People's Court of Jinzhong City handed Luo Congjun a two-year suspended death sentence and sentenced Li Duanliang to life in prison.

Luo and Li were charged with stealing cash, jewelry, gold bars and luxury watches worth a total of 10.78 million yuan (1.72 million U.S. dollars) from the home of Bai Peizhong in November 2011.

Bai is the former chairman of the board of state-owned Shanxi Coking Coal Group Co., Ltd., an industry leader in coal-rich Shanxi Province.

On Nov. 13 last year, Luo and Li broke into Bai's home in the provincial capital of Taiyuan and forced Bai's wife to open the safe and hand over all the valuables, the court found.
