MANILA, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Military officials of the United States and the Philippines are now finalizing a list of their joint military exercises next year, a top official said Friday.

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Jessie Dellosa said the final list will be ready by next month. The list will be approved by the U.S. Pacific Command and Philippine military officials.

Dellosa said the list includes prominent military exercises like Balikatan, a series of large-scale training activities; and Phiblex, an amphibious landing exercise.

He said the recent issue on the alleged dumping of toxic waste by a U.S. contractor from visiting American ships in Subic Bay in northern Philippines will not affect the conduct of military exercises between the two countries.
